The primary aims of the Julia Gabriel Preschool programme are to nurture a growing independence, positive self-esteem and self-image and a love of learning through each child’s earliest experiences. Julia Gabriel Preschool offers programmes from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten. The curriculum has been carefully structured and planned and includes Language and Literacy, a holistic five-strand Maths programme, Mandarin, Speech & Drama, Mindfulness, weekly Physical Education lessons, Music, and Science and Technology activities including Cookery, Research, Coding and Content Creation. Children will also be introduced to our unique programmes – KidsPreneurship (I Can!), Give & Grow (Sustainability & Gardening), Harmony Heroes (Collaboration & Care for the Community) and Project! Project!.
Through providing focused activities that develop specific concepts, and a balance of play and exploration-based activities, our educators can work with small groups of children and provide a more individualised programme. This approach develops our children’s skills in managing time, making choices and decisions and internalised motivation to learn. Mandarin is often taught using a more whole-group approach, with a range of learning styles catered for in the activities planned. In this way, our children experience variety in approaches and styles, enabling them to subsequently adapt to a range of primary school settings.
