Speech & Drama

Nursery 1 & 2

Our dedicated educators lead young children through stories, music, movement, drama, and games, with a strong focus on active language learning in this inquiry-based programme. Learning is seamlessly integrated with play, helping children develop confidence, independence, and expressive communication skills.

Speech & Drama

Kindergarten 1 & 2

In this programme, preschoolers engage with high-quality, age-appropriate literature (including poetry and prose) to stimulate their creative and cognitive development. Kindergarten 2 students work towards achieving Trinity College London’s Young Performers Certificate, fostering cooperation, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills through process drama. Additionally, children develop valuable coping skills to prepare them for Primary 1.

Speech Communication Arts

Primary 1 – Primary 4

Primary school students progressively build strong, confident, and expressive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills through drama, speech activities, and literacy tasks. At each stage, students work towards presenting for the Trinity College London Speech Communication Arts assessment, enhancing their ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, express ideas effectively, and refine public speaking skills. Planning, structuring, and narrating original scripts and stories, as well as critically analysing a variety of books, are integral components of the programme.

I Love Reading

Nursery 1 & 2

Children develop their reading readiness through drama activities based on Julia Gabriel’s The Alphabet Zoo book. By making connections between letters and sounds and expanding their vocabulary, children explore language creatively, gaining the skills necessary to become avid and successful readers.

Let’s Read and Write

Kindergarten 1 & 2

Each child receives personalised attention from their educator as they develop their reading and writing skills through hands-on learning experiences. From understanding various text types to confidently using grammar techniques in writing, students discover their own unique reading, writing, and expressive speaking styles.

Think N’ Ink
